Newtown Neighbourhood Centre-Inner West Seniors Social Support Group
The Inner West Seniors Social Support group meets weekly on Fridays at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre from 10am - 1.00pm. It's a social group where participants engage in games and activities designed to be fun and engaging. This includes things like word games, reminiscing activities, gentle exercise and team games and bingo. Guest speakers regularly attend to discuss healthy ageing strategies and a monthly bus outing is also on offer. Group members bring their own lunch but NNC provides morning tea and coffee/tea throughout the course of the activity. Whilst activities are provided, the group itself is friendly and welcoming with a mix of long term and new members. Transport to and from the group is not provided by NNC.
